Ghana's dam floods affect hundreds
Over 4,000 residents of south-eastern Ghana have fled their homes due to floods.
As a result of the floods caused by the Akosombo Dam, houses and farms were destroyed.
Important services have been disrupted, where water and electricity have been cut off in some areas.
On Friday, the Ghanaian government said thousands of people, "in at least nine districts", have been displaced.
Elsewhere, the UN Office for Disaster Management and Coordination said it had registered seven injuries.
The Volta River Authority of Ghana has earlier urged residents to move to higher ground as the dam continues to rise due to heavy rains.
