 New Commanders Have Been Appointed in the Nigerian Air Force

After President Tinubu's nomination of the new Chief of the Air Force, the Nigerian Air Force has implemented a reform for the very first time since the appointment of the new Chief of Air Force.

The movement of ninety senior officers to various locations across the country has been given the go-ahead by Air Vice Marshall Hassan Bala Abubakar, who serves as Chief of Air Staff.

The move touched the main officers at the headquarters of the fighters as well as the commanders of the various units, according to a statement that was signed by Air Commodore AK Famuyiwa, who is stepping down from his position as the spokesman for the Air Force.

AVM Sayo Olatunde has been given the responsibility of serving as the new officer in charge of policy and security at the security headquarters.

AVM Ibikunle Daramola, who formerly served as the organization's spokesperson, will keep his current post as chief of communications. AVM Pious Oahimire will take over as chief of aircraft maintenance, while AVM Uche Nwagwu will be in charge of the finance and budget department.

AVM Idi Sani has been appointed to the post of new officer in charge of governance; AVM Michael Onyebashi has been assigned to the position of new officer in charge of quality work; and AVM Anthony Ekpe will continue to serve as an officer in charge of the health department.

Additionally, new state commanders of the Air Force have been appointed in the following states: Kaduna, Lagos, Benue, and Abuja.

AVM Adeniyi Amesinlola has been appointed as the new Commandant of the Military Resettlement Centre in Oshodi, which is located in Lagos. AVM Hassan Alhaji has been appointed as the Commandant of the Military Officers College in Jaji, while AVM Sani Rabe has been appointed as the Commandant of the Air Force Technical Centre.

Others include Air Vice Marshal Adebayo Kehinde, who is currently serving as the Commandant of the Air Force Combat Training College in Markudi; Air Vice Marshal Esseng Efanga, who is currently serving as the Commandant of the Air Warfare Centre; and Air Commodore Edward Gwabket, who is currently serving as the new spokesman for the Air Force.
