A curfew has been imposed in Mangu Local Government Area, Plateau State
Markus Artu, who is the acting chairman of the Mangu Local Government in Plateau State, said that all traffic has been stopped except for security officers and people with special jobs.
After a riot that killed one person and hurt others, the rule was put in place.
Sunday Dankaka Dawap, who is in charge of the Mwaghavul youth group, said that the conflict is caused by the claim that the refugees will be attacked.
In the last few weeks, there have been major attacks in Mangu's local government that have killed more than a hundred people and forced thousands of others to leave their homes.
Yahaya Bello Shanono, who is in charge of the Miyetti Allah group in the Mangu local government, said that the fight began when a businessman was killed.
Kabiru Iliyasu, the councilor of Mangu Ward One, asked the chiefs and religious and community leaders to tell the people to live in peace.
Eight people were killed by shooters in the Fan area of the Barikin Ladi local government on Friday.
In a statement, Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State told the police to send more officers to stop the fighting.
In the statement, it was also said that the government will take different steps to protect the people whose homes terrorists have taken over.
Earlier, the police said that they had sent cops to places where there was violence to keep people safe and protect public property.
