Nigerian Air Force Attack Killed About 100 Gunmen In North West Nigeria

Nigerian warplanes have carried out an aerial attack on a bandit camp, killing about 100 bandits in the north-west region of the country.

The French news agency AFP said the Nigerian Air Force has confirmed that it has carried out bomb attacks in Zamfara state.

northwest of the country on Tuesday. However, the spokesperson said that he still cannot provide detailed information on the number of those killed.

A military officer said that the warplanes intercepted the gunmen on motorcycles in Dan Mani village in Sangeko district on the edge of the Kuyan Bana forest where they were bombarded.

An officer involved in the operation said that warplanes launched an aerial attack on the bandits, where they killed - in his opinion - about 100 and about 200 others who were seriously injured.

The AFP news agency said that the aerial attack was the second most serious aerial attack on bandits in Zamfara since 2015 when the military fought against the bandits.

AFP said they have become notorious for kidnapping people from schools and colleges in recent years, setting up camps in secret in a large forest that crosses the states of Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna and Niger.
