The police returned the cars that were taken from Matawalle's house to the court - Police

The Zamfara State Police said that they gave all of the cars that they took from Bello Matawalle, the former governor of the state, back to the court.

In a phone call with Channels Television on Saturday, Yazid Abubakar, who is in charge of public relations for the state police force, said that the cars were given back because the Federal High Court in Gusau said so.

Yes, the police obeyed the court's order that all of the vehicles of previous governor Bello Matawalle be returned," said a Police Spokesman.

"We gave all the cars back to the Federal High Court in Gusau. As I talk to you right now, not a single car is in the hands of the police."

On June 15, Justice Aliyu Bappa of the Federal High Court in Gusau told all security forces that took cars from the homes of Matawalle in Gusau and Maradun to give them back within hours. yes 48.

The court also told the people who were accused in the case Matawalle brought to court not to do anything else about it.

The Nigerian Police Inspector-General, the Nigerian Police Service, the Zamfara State Police Commissioner, the National Security Service (DSS), and the National Security Service (NSCDC) all reacted to the case.

Channels Television went to the Federal High Court on Sunday morning to confirm this order. At the time this story was made, there were only 29 vehicles on the court grounds.

But sources say that some of the vehicles are still at the police camp and are due to arrive in Gusau on Sunday or Monday morning.

But as of the time this story was written, the former governor had not said whether or not the cars had been returned.

The government of Zamfara state said earlier that more than 40 vehicles, including three bulletproof cars and eight SUVs, were found at the former governor's two homes.
