Sheikh Idris Abdul'aziz was sent to jail by the Islamic Court.

Dr. Idris Abdul'aziz Dutsen Tanshi was sent to jail for "contempt of court" by the High Court of Islamic Law No. 1 in Bauchi State until one month later.

Malam Hussaini Turaki, the judge of the court, was the one who sent the head teacher to the house of correction at the Monday court hearing.

Our reporter found a copy of the order to send the teacher to prison. It says that the judge sent the teacher to prison for "contempt of court." He will be brought back to court from jail. the court on September 19th.

The judge told the head of the prison, "You have permission to take him into custody and keep him there until you get another order."

The court said that the teacher can stay in the house until July 19, 2023, if no other order is sent.

If you remember, on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, the judge told the security officers to arrest the teacher wherever they saw him because he refused to show up in court.

But when the teacher went to court on June 5, his lawyers showed the judge a medical report that said he wasn't there because he was sick.

After his lawyers showed the report to the court, they asked for the case to be dropped and for the teacher to be arrested whenever he is seen. But the Judge put the request off until today, when he or she will decide what to do.

Barrister Kamal A. R. Muhammad, one of the teacher's lawyers, told reporters after the decision that they are studying the situation to figure out the best way to ask for the teacher's freedom.

He said, "First, the court was called back to hear our request to throw out the case, since we say the court doesn't have the power to hear the case." Second, we want the judge's order on the first day to find the teacher and take him into custody because he didn't show up to court to be based on a hospital report that says he is not fit.

"Before today, we made an appeal asking that the case be moved to another court with jurisdiction, and the judge who has jurisdiction said that he won't throw out the case because he has the power to hear it.

"In the current situation," the lawyer said, "the judge has said that Malam should go to jail until July 19, 2023."

Barista Kamal, the teacher, said that they will take steps to talk about how they feel about this problem.

LEADERSHIP Hausa said that the cops were the ones who first brought the teacher to the Magistrate's Court on suspicion of sedition that threatens the peace of the community, which put him in jail for a long time. After a week, he was let out on bail.

But in the end, the case was taken over by the Ministry of Justice of Bauchi State.

The case against him, however, was moved from the Magistrate's Court to the Islamic Court after he was freed.

Our reporter told us that the teacher who is the top imam of the Juma'a mosque in Mount Tanshi is being held in the main prison in Bauchi for now.
