Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President of Nigeria, has passed a law that will make it possible for students to get loans while they are in school.
Olusegun Dada, the president's social media assistant, shared a video of President Tinubu signing the law with his chief of staff Femi Bgajabiamila and his bodyguard.
Dada wrote at the bottom of the video, "The President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, just signed the law that gives Nigerian students loans without interest."
The bill passed its second reading in the House of Representatives on May 25, 2023.
